The Case for a Cause
Are you passionate about preserving the Organ Mountains, protecting immigrant rights, or supporting sanctuary issues? Maybe you’re ready to resist Trump’s tax plan, or the assault on the Affordable Care Act? Are you fired up and ready to act?
Then join WE’RE IN May 9 for an event we’re calling “The Case for a Cause.” In the first round of the event, individuals and representatives will have the chance to make the case in favor of their cause. The presenters will explain how support for their cause fits within the WE’RE IN mission of disrupting the Trump agenda. They’ll also outline ways to support their efforts through our own Calls to Action.
In the second round, presenters will lead break-out groups in discussing the case for their cause. Audience members will be able to participate in a group of their choosing. Finally, individuals will have the opportunity to address the group in support of a specific issue.
WE’RE IN is hosting “The Case for a Cause” as a way to promote awareness of progressive causes and to determine Call to Action priorities. The event also will give people a chance to learn more about the issues and ways to volunteer.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, May 9 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, second floor. The meeting is free and open to the public. Anyone wishing to make a presentation should contact WE’RE IN at firstname.lastname@example.org
